 Participating in video scripting as part of our B.Ed program at BNV College of Teacher Education was a transformative experience for our English optional class. Divided into two groups, our team—comprising Neena, Sruthi, Aparna, Reshma, Arathy, and Basith—worked on adapting Sudha Murthy's story "Horegallu" into a video format. This project highlighted the importance of integrating multimedia into the classroom, demonstrating how effective storytelling can bridge gaps and create a dynamic, engaging learning environment. Reflecting on this experience, we recognize that innovation and imagination are crucial, as stepping beyond traditional roles allowed us to appreciate the story's complexity and enhance our educational practices.

Teaching practice Phase 1 (Week 8)

  This week was quite dynamic as we conducted conscientisation programs and other school-based activities on October 14th. Due to a packed schedule, we didn’t have any free periods, which meant we had to adjust our class timings to fit everything in. This challenge encouraged teamwork and flexibility among the staff, allowing us to successfully carry out the programs while ensuring that our educational goals remained a priority. On October 15th, we were unable to hold regular classes because of the inauguration of the creative corner by the honorable mayor. This event provided a unique opportunity for the school community to celebrate creativity and innovation. It was a wonderful experience, filled with excitement and pride, as the mayor's presence underscored the importance of fostering a creative environment for our students. Teaching practice phase 2 (week 5)

  This week, a special assembly was held with a meaningful focus on teaching students how to interact with and support physically handicapped and mentally challenged students. It was a valuable opportunity to foster empathy and understanding among the students, helping them learn to be more inclusive and compassionate in their interactions. In addition to this, I had another observation by Nadeem sir, and I was pleased to receive positive feedback on my teaching methods and classroom management. His encouraging words have motivated me to continue improving and refining my approach in the classroom.
