Teaching practice phase 2 (week 6)

This week marked the final stretch of my teaching practice, and it was a bittersweet experience. We completed all the portions just in time, ensuring the students were well-prepared for their upcoming exams. I also had the chance to implement my innovative lesson plan on prepositions, using the ludo board game method, which the students enjoyed and found engaging. In addition, I conducted my ICT-based lesson plan, integrating technology into the classroom to make learning more interactive and fun. As the week came to a close, we bid farewell to the students, wishing them all the best for their exams. It was a memorable and rewarding experience to see them grow throughout the teaching practice.

This week, a special assembly was held with a meaningful focus on teaching students how to interact with and support physically handicapped and mentally challenged students. It was a valuable opportunity to foster empathy and understanding among the students, helping them learn to be more inclusive and compassionate in their interactions. In addition to this, I had another observation by Nadeem sir, and I was pleased to receive positive feedback on my teaching methods and classroom management. His encouraging words have motivated me to continue improving and refining my approach in the classroom.

This week, I wrapped up the lesson “The Nightingale and the Rose,” making sure the students had a solid understanding of its themes and message, and then introduced a new lesson, “A Day in the Country.” With the exams just around the corner, we shifted our focus to intensive preparation, ensuring that the students were well-prepared for what was ahead. To keep the students engaged and focused despite the exam pressure, I introduced different teaching models and activities that sparked their curiosity and maintained their interest in the lessons. These interactive methods not only helped in reinforcing the concepts but also made the classroom atmosphere lively and dynamic. As we move closer to the exams, my goal is to ensure that the students remain attentive and confident in their preparation.
